The paper discusses a possibility of increasing the wear and corrosion resistance low carbon steel surface after cathodic plasma electrolytic boronitrocarburising in solution boric acid, glycerin, ammonium chloride, with subsequent anodic polishing an sulfate due to formation modified structure consisting dense oxide layer diffusion below it, which contains up 0.87% carbon, 0.80% nitrogen, boron upon reaching microhardness 970±20 HV. competitive influence erosion under action discharges high-temperature oxidation on morphology roughness is revealed. A positive effect reducing during hardened it friction coefficient mass wear, as well additional current density, has been established.
